International Rally New York (IRNY) is the final round of the 2011 United States Rally Championship (USRC). Each day is a separate event of the New York Rally Championship (NYRC).
Top teams from the Atlantic Div. and the Pacific Div. of the USRC will compete for top spots in the Championship. All teams from the Pacific Div., regardless of their standing, will receive free entry. Each team in top 30 % of all finishers will be awarded prize money. Mr. Robert Cella will again sponsor three selected teams. Teams should submit their requests for sponsorship to rally registrar after submitting their entry. Teams can test on some of the stages used by the IRNY during the Rallysprint on Sept 10. The roads, some of them purpose-built for Rally New York events, have been refurbished for this purpose. At the Rallysprint, Midwest Sheet Metal will raffle off a free entry for the IRNY.
The compact schedule calls for registration and scrutineering at Villa Roma Resort and two-pass recce on Fri afternoon. On Sat and on Sun, the rally, including Parc Ferme, will be based at the exciting Keowa Rally Village. Three night special stages will be run on Sat night.
The rally consists of 100 miles of stages in Narrowsburgh and new special stages in Thompson (Monticello), which will increase the variety of stages. The rally starts before lunch on Sat and ends on Sun in mid-afternoon. The year-end awards ceremony for the 2011 USRC will follow.
The rally takes place in spectacular Catskill Mountains only 90 miles northwest of New York City. It is conducted according to international FIA regulations with two-pass reconnaissance and pace notes.
